Nicolas Belmas is a winemaker based in Montréal-de-l’Aude, the very same village as ASET, our first printing site. This close connection was important and is reflected in the care devoted to these two labels. It is also where Isabelle Evenat, our illustrator and graphic designer, works. She created the artwork for these labels from photographs.
The Orchis and Ophrys labels are printed on Cotone Bianco UWS paper, a thick, textured stock enhanced with a tactile varnish that brings greater vibrancy and depth to the colours of the illustrations.
Both labels were produced digitally at our Digit Labels site in Cadaujac. This printing process is particularly well suited to botanical illustrations and is ideal for the production volumes of an independent winemaker such as Nicolas Belmas.
